Backstory:
Overcooked Learning was formed in a small, dingy basement in Ann Arbor, Michigan, during the winter of 2004. The band was the brainchild of four college friends: lead vocalist and guitarist Scott “Beetle” Randolf, bassist Nate “Drumstick” Drummond, keyboardist Benny “Piano Man” Jacobs, and drummer Mike “The Machine” Sterling. The guys were all music students at the same university, each with their own varying influences and tastes, which they decided to combine into one eclectic sound.
During their first jam session, they accidentally left a pot roast in the oven for far too long, resulting in an overcooked disaster. In a lighthearted moment, they decided to name their band after that incident – hence, Overcooked Learning. They quickly became a staple in the local music scene, and their energetic performances and infectious melodies attracted a dedicated fan base. They’ve been rocking the stage ever since, cooking up a storm, and teaching everyone a thing or two about resilience, friendship, and good music.
