The band members, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist, Max, bassist, Riley, and drummer, Lenny, initially began by jamming in their respective garages, basements and school talent shows. Their undeniable chemistry and shared ambition soon led them to participate in local music competitions, where they caught the attention of a record label scout.

Title:

“Stranded at the Pier”

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
[G] Stranded at the pier, [D] under the neon lights,
[Am] Silence echoing through the night, [C] as we say goodbye.
[Em] I see the reflection in your eyes, [Bm] filled with the city’s lies,
[Am] Tear-streaked faces, [D] under the starry skies.

Chorus:
[G] Stranded at the pier, [Em] as the rain starts to clear,
[C] Holding on to the moments, [D] that we held so dear.
[G] We were just kids, [Em] without any fears,
[C] Now we’re leaving our hearts, [D] stranded at the pier.

Verse 2:
[G] You were my compass, [D] I was your northern star,
[Am] In the city’s chaos, [C] we found who we are.
[Em] As the ferry fades away, [Bm] like a distant scar,
[Am] I hold on to your memory, [D] near yet so far.

(Chorus)

Bridge:
[Am] The city lights keep shining, [G] as our stories keep unwinding,
[C] All that’s left are echoes, [D] of our youth, we’re finding.

(Chorus x2)

Fan Testimonial:

My name is Sarah and I can say without a doubt that Primary Dock is my favorite band. Their music is raw, honest, and heartfelt. The song “Stranded at the Pier” resonates so deeply with me, as it reminds me of the moments when we become adults, leaving our childhood behind, bracing ourselves for life’s realities. The band captures this transition so beautifully. Their lyrics are poetry, and the emotion in their performance is palpable. Primary Dock doesn’t just create music, they create art that touches the soul.
