Backstory:
Formed in the buzzing heart of Seattle in 2006, Perky Prince initially began as a unique musical endeavor by college roommates, Max ‘Mako’ Kohn and Jake ‘Jazzy’ Spence. Combining their love for quirky melodies and vibrant beats, they began to play at small, local gigs. Their energetic performances, combined with their unparalleled chemistry, quickly caught the public’s eye, and by 2009, they had secured a recording contract. Full Song Lyrics:
[Intro]
(Am) (F) (C) (G)
[Verse 1]
(Am) Rain-soaked streets, (F) where we used to meet,
(C) Echoes of laughter, (G) moments to gather.
(Am) Painted walls, (F) and endless halls,
(C) Our echoes bounce, (G) as we announce.
[Chorus]
(Am) Emerald City memories, (F) in our hearts they’ll always be.
(C) Through the highs and the lows, (G) wherever we go.
(Am) Through the rain, (F) through the pain,
(C) These Emerald City memories, (G) they’ll always remain.
[Verse 2]
(Am) Late-night shows, (F) and neon glows,
(C) The music, the crowd, (G) everything’s so loud.
(Am) The city’s ours, (F) under the stars,
(C) We ride the night, (G) with all our might.
[Chorus]
(Am) Emerald City memories, (F) in our hearts they’ll always be.
(C) Through the highs and the lows, (G) wherever we go.
