Backstory:

Petty Lease was formed in the bustling urban jungle of New York City. Longtime friends and music aficionados, Peter “Pete” Davidson and Lester “Lease” McKinney decided to join forces during a late-night jam session on the rooftop of their high-rise apartment. Pete, an accomplished drummer, complemented Lease’s soulful voice and accomplished guitar skills perfectly. They realized they had something special and soon after formed Petty Lease. The band’s name was a playful nod to the age-old rule of their apartment lease, which prohibited loud music after 10 PM, a rule they conveniently ignored.

The duo’s commitment to their craft was unwavering. Pete’s rhythmic patterns were influenced by the hustle and bustle of the city, while Lease’s lyrics were reflections of his day-to-day experiences. Their innovative approach to music attracted a substantial following, and they started performing at local gigs, gradually making their mark on the city’s music scene.
