Backstory:
Formed in the heart of Cincinnati, Ohio in 2008, Winged Zone is a quartet of childhood friends who found unity in their shared love for music. The members, Jake (vocals), Jim (guitar), Alex (bass), and Rick (drums), spent their high school years honing their talents in basements and garages, gradually gaining notoriety within their local scene. With a penchant for deep, soul-stirring lyrics and a sound that is uniquely their own, they have steadily increased their fanbase with every passing year.
Fuelled by a passion for authenticity and a desire to connect with their audience on a deep level, Winged Zone’s journey has been marked by a persistent resilience. When Jake’s mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, the band used music to process their collective grief and dedicate an album to her fight. This heartfelt gesture endeared them to fans worldwide and solidified their reputation as a band with a heart.
