Backstory:

Playful Justification was born in the heart of the bustling music scene of Seattle, Washington. The band comprised of four childhood friends – Jake (lead vocals and guitar), Robin (drums), Maya (bass) and Leo (keyboard). The four friends had eclectic musical tastes ranging from blues to heavy metal. However, they all shared a common love for indie rock and knew they had to turn their casual jam sessions into something more substantial. And so, in 2015, Playful Justification was created.

After a few months of playing in local bars and clubs, they were discovered by a local radio DJ who was captivated by their energy and unique sound. This led to their first record deal and, not too long after, they released their debut album which was a hit in the local charts. Their music resonated with many because of their honest lyrics combined with catchy melodies. Today, Playful Justification is a well-loved band all over the U.S., known for their playful and energetic performances.

Favorite Fan:

The band’s favorite fan is Sarah, a young woman from Boston. Sarah first discovered Playful Justification at a music festival in her junior year of college. She was captivated by their energy and the honesty in their lyrics. Since that day, she’s followed them on their musical journey, attending every concert within a 300-mile radius of her home.

Sarah says, “Playful Justification is my favorite band because their music speaks to me on a personal level. The lyrics are raw and honest, and the melodies are catchy.
