Pointless Enthusiasm

Backstory:
Pointless Enthusiasm was formed in the bustling city of San Francisco, California in 2012. The group was initially comprised of four close friends: David Brinkman (vocals and guitar), Sarah Lindholm (bass), Mark Townsend (drums), and Julie Staples (keyboard and backing vocals). All of them had a passion for music that transcended their mundane day jobs. Enter a chance meeting at an open mic night at the local pub, and Pointless Enthusiasm was born. The quartet, none of whom had any formal training, decided to step out of their comfort zones and take their shared love for music from the garage to the stage.

Title:
“Lost in the Echoes”

Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Walking down the street, [Em] alone at night,
[C] Can’t help but feel the cold, [D] under the city light,
[G] Memories flood in, [Em] like a relentless tide,
[C] Our laughter and our dreams, [D] that we used to hide.

(Chorus)
[G] Lost in the echoes, [D] of a forgotten song,
[Em] The melody keeps playing, [C] all night long,
[G] Our youthful days, [D] seem so far away,
[Em] But I can still hear, [C] the music we used to play.

(Verse 2)
[G] The coffee shop corner, [Em] where we wrote our tunes,
[C] Now stands silent, [D] devoid of our afternoon.
[G] Our whispers in the wind, [Em] secrets we shared,
[C] Are now just echoes, [D] of a time we dared.

(Chorus)
[G] Lost in the echoes, [D] of a forgotten song,
[Em] The melody keeps playing, [C] all night long,
[G] Though years have passed, [D] since we went our way,
[Em] I still remember, [C] the music we used to play.

(Outro)
[G] Now as I strum these strings, [D] under the moon’s soft glow,
[Em] I find myself lost, [C] in the echoes.

Favorite Fan’s Testimonial:
Amy Tan, a self-proclaimed Pointless Enthusiasm’s biggest fan, shares, “There’s something incredibly raw and genuine about their music. The lyrics, the melody, the emotion – it’s all real. It’s like they’ve taken bits and pieces of their lives and woven them into songs. The very first time I heard ‘Lost in the Echoes’, I felt a connection that I hadn’t experienced with any other band. Their music has the power to take you back to your yesteryears, to make you nostalgic, to make you feel. Pointless Enthusiasm is my favorite because they’ve managed to create music that’s not just heard but felt deeply.”
