Backstory:
Formed in the illustrious music scene of Austin, Texas, in 2016, “Sociable Cable” is a quartet made up of childhood friends. The band was established when lead vocalist, Sam, and lead guitarist, Jake, decided to transform their passion for music into a career. After recruiting bassist, Chris, and drummer, Matt, at a local music shop, the group started playing at local gigs, and the dream was realized. Their reputation grew, and soon they were a household name among the local music enthusiasts. Their name was derived from their shared nostalgia of simpler times when staying socially connected didn’t involve the internet or social media but was instead through cable TV, communicating their desire to be sociable and bring people together through their music.
