Pretty Factor

Backstory:

Pretty Factor is a band that came together in the heart of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2012. It all started with the two friends, lead vocalist/guitarist Chris Evans and drummer George Morris, jamming together in their basements during high school. After the addition of bassist Jennifer Davis and keyboardist Ryan Thompson, they decided to form a band, infusing their shared passion for music and storytelling. Named after an inside joke about everyone’s narcissistic obsession with their looks, Pretty Factor was born. Their rise to fame was a grueling journey of performing in bars and small events until their breakthrough in 2015 when their first EP garnered the attention of a renowned music producer.

Title:

“Reflections on a Rainy Day”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[C] Staring at the [G] window, [Am] raindrops find their [F] way,
[C] Each drop writes a [G] story, [Am] while the world’s in [F] grey.
[C] My mind is a [G] canvas, [Am] painting thoughts in [F] play,
[C] A story of [G] you and me, [Am] on a rainy [F] day.

(Chorus)
[G] Let the rain [D] fall, [Em] let it wash away,
[C] Memories of [G] us, on this [D] rainy day.
[G] Hold onto the [D] dream, [Em] though it starts to fray,
[C] Because in our [G] hearts, we’ll always have [D] this rainy day.

(Verse 2)
[C] The sun tried to [G] peek, [Am] through the cloudy [F] mesh,
[C] Like your smile, [G] breaking through [Am] my heart’s unrest.
[C] The rain paints a [G] picture, [Am] of a love [F] professed,
[C] Your reflection in [G] each droplet, [Am] my heart’s only [F] guest.

(Chorus)
[G] Let the rain [D] fall, [Em] let it wash away,
[C] Memories of [G] us, on this [D] rainy day.
[G] Hold onto the [D] memory, [Em] though it starts to fray,
[C] Because in our [G] hearts, we’ll always have [D] this rainy day.

Their favourite fan is a lady named Emily Thompson. Emily has been there from the start, right from their first gig in a dingy bar to their sold-out concerts. Emily loves Pretty Factor not just for their music but for their authenticity and dedication. She says, “Pretty Factor isn’t just a band. They’re storytellers. Their music has been there for me through my worst and best times. It’s like they’re not just singing, but speaking directly to me, touching my soul. They’ve got this raw passion that you rarely see. I’ve been to every single concert and I’ll keep going as long as they’re playing. I love Pretty Factor because their music feels like home.”
