Profitable Bedroom

Backstory:

Formed in a small town in New Hampshire, Profitable Bedroom is an ensemble of four high school friends who discovered their shared passion for music through their love for punk rock. The band’s name references a time when they would play jam sessions in a small, cramped bedroom which they ironically described as “profitable” due to the invaluable memories and music that were born there. Their journey took a positive turn when their self-recorded EP, using nothing but a laptop and borrowed instruments, gained traction on a local radio station, leading to a recording contract and national recognition.

Genre:

Punk Rock / Indie Rock

Title:

“Unprofitable Memories”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Dusty pictures on the wall, [Em] Forgotten dreams we can’t recall
[C] Broken strings and[Am] worn out shoes, [D] Echoes of our[Em] wild youth

[G] The place where our hearts took flight, [Em] In the profitable bedroom every night
[C] Strumming chords on our[Am] old guitars, [D] Dreaming of reaching the[Em] stars

(Chorus)
[G] Unprofitable memories, [D] In our heart’s treasury
[C] No amount of gold could[Am] buy, [Em] The times that have[D] flown by
[G] Unprofitable memories, [D] More precious than any treasury
[C] Here we stand in[Am] the spotlight’s glare, [Em] Still dreaming of[D] what we shared

(Verse 2)
[G] The profitable bedroom’s gone, [Em] But the music plays on
[C] We’ve traded our[Am] worn out shoes, [D] For a stage and[Em] a mic to use

[G] We play the chords, we tell the tales, [Em] Of four guys who dared to sail
[C] From a small bedroom to[Am] a roaring crowd, [D] With the echoes of youth[Em] ringing loud
