Backstory:
Born from the ashes of a thriving garage band scene in New England, Relieved Box is a foursome that found each other in a shared passion for music and the pursuit of a different sound. The band was formed in 2012 when lead singer and guitarist, Richard “Rick” Howling, met drummer, Mike “MJ” Jacobs, on a local music forum. The duo soon found bassist, Sam “Sizzle” McGuire, and keyboardist, Neil “Keys” Kramer, through mutual friends. Their bond was immediate, and the chemistry was palpable, leading to the formation of Relieved Box.
Their road to success was not an easy ride. With day jobs to keep them afloat, the group tirelessly worked through night, practicing and producing music out of Rick’s cramped garage. After two years of relentless effort, they caught their big break when their demo was picked up by a rising independent label. Since then, there’s been no looking back for Relieved Box, who continue to create music that inspires, provokes, and moves their audience.
