Rewarding Slope was formed in the mid-2000s in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California. The band members, childhood friends Chad Johnson on vocals and guitar, Kyle Robertson on bass, and Jeremy Gibson on drums, were always known for their raw talent and passion for music. They spent their high school years jamming in their parents’ basements, refining their musical skills and developing their unique sound. After graduating, they decided to make their passion their career, and Rewarding Slope was born. They started off playing in local bars, and their popularity quickly grew due to their captivating performances and novel approach to music.
