Backstory:

Uncomfortable Cat is a quirky underground band that was founded in 2013 in a small, alternative hipster neighborhood in Seattle. Their name originates from a particularly unpleasant encounter with a stray cat in their rehearsal space, which seemed to perpetually display a disgruntled expression. In an attempt to lighten the mood, the band decided to name themselves Uncomfortable Cat as an ironic nod to their unexpected feline visitor.

The band is composed of five members: lead vocalist Mandy “Mew” Monet, guitarist Sam “Scratch” Sheridan, bassist Lisa “Litterbox” Law, drummer Bob “Biscuit” Baker, and synth player Alex “Alleycat” Anderson. Initially, they had different musical backgrounds, but their shared love for experimental sounds and off-the-wall humor brought them together. Over the years, they have gained a cult following for their unconventional performances and distinctive sound.
