Backstory:

Slimy Jacket was formed in 2010 in a small town on the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee. The group was initially a casual gathering of five high school friends who shared a joint passion for music. The band’s name was inspired by an incident where the lead singer, Jack, wore a jacket that was accidentally spilled with a green smoothie during a local gig, leading to the moniker ‘Slimy Jacket’. As they matured, so did their music, bringing them to the mainstream scene. The band’s gritty, honest lyrics paired with their unique blend of rock, blues, and country resonated with audiences, and they quickly gained a following.
