Backstory:
Stupid Cottage came to life in the bustling city of San Francisco, California, during the spring of 2010. The band was the brainchild of two college friends, Dennis Fenton and Brian O’Neal, who shared a passion for creating music that transcended the mainstream. One day, in their cramped, ramshackle student apartment they affectionately dubbed “Stupid Cottage”, they began jamming— and the rest was history.
Their undeniable chemistry and distinctive sound quickly caught the attention of the local music scene. Determined to make a name for themselves, they recruited two more members, Jessica Lyn and Sammy Richards, completing their unique lineup. Today, Stupid Cottage is celebrated for their evocative lyrics, memorable melodies, and the ways they challenge the boundaries of traditional music genres.

Band’s Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is Suzy Matthews, a bookstore owner from Oregon. She first discovered our music during a hard time in her life and has often shared how “Yesterday’s Rain” helped her through it. She says, “Stupid Cottage’s music is heartfelt, raw, and incredibly comforting. Their songs have an uncanny ability to cheer you up when you’re down, to validate your feelings, and to make you feel less alone in the world. They’ve become the soundtrack to my life, and for that, they will always be my favorite band.”
