Backstory:
Once upon a time in the lively city of Brooklyn, four friends shared a common love of music and the arts. Each one had a unique musical talent, but their combined sound was incomplete, so they decided to form a band in the fall of 2005. They named themselves ‘Sophisticated Faucet’, a name inspired by a joke about a fancy tap they saw in a boutique store. This band name, while humorous, also represented their mission to be a conduit of sophisticated and thought-provoking music. Their shared vision was to be a fresh voice in music that flowed continuously, much like a faucet, delivering meaningful lyrics and catchy rhythms to their listeners.

The band comprised of Alex, the vocalist and guitarist, Jake, the bassist, Lara, the drummer, and Mike, the keyboardist. Their individual passions for music encompassed an array of genres, but together, they created a unique sound that could only be classified as Sophisticated Faucet.

Bands Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is 16-year-old Samantha ‘Sam’ Davis. Sam discovered us at one of our initial gigs in a small Brooklyn café. She loved our music instantly, and since then, she has attended every one of our shows. Sam claims that our music speaks directly to her soul, and she feels connected to each word and rhythm.
