Backstory:

Hailing from the industrial city of Sheffield, UK, Steel Letter was formed by five friends who shared a love for heavy music and the desire to create something unique. They all worked in steel mills and factories, where the pounding machinery and the heat of the furnaces provided the perfect backdrop for their creative process. The members – lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dave “The Welder” Thompson, lead guitarist Sam “The Smelter” Jones, bassist Paul “The Press” Smith, keyboardist Mike “The Moulder” Williams, and drummer Billy “The Bladesmith” Taylor – brought the essence of their daily labor into their music, fusing their passion for metal with the toughness of their surroundings. Over the years, their intoxicating blend of hard-hitting rhythms and melodic hooks has catapulted them to the forefront of the UK metal scene, earning them a devoted fan base around the world.
