Backstory:
Stingy Conservation was formed in the politically chaotic year of 2008 by four high school friends who shared a passion for music and the environment. Raised in rural Wisconsin, they were witness to the consequences of reckless human behavior on nature, which sparked in them a desire for change. Ethan, the lead vocalist, was a charismatic poet and songwriter who found his calling in the middle of a protest rally. Ethan teamed up with his childhood friends – Noah, a guitar savant, Sam, a drummer with a fierce passion for rhythms, and Cody, a bassist whose grooves were as deep as his love for the planet. Together, they decided to use their music to raise awareness about environmental issues, giving birth to Stingy Conservation.

Title:
“Less is More”
Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Em C G D
Shattered glass, broken dreams, plastic fills the seas,
Em C G D
Look around, what we’ve done, this wasn’t meant to be.
Em C G D
Concrete jungles rise, as the green forests fall,
Em C G D
We’re leaving scars, on Mother Earth, heed her call.
(Chorus)
Em C G D
Less is More, let’s restore, the world we adore,
Em C G D
It’s not too late, to change our fate, open the door.
Em C G D
Less is More, let’s implore, bring back the shore,
Em C G D
With every note, we’ve ever wrote, we’ll fight this war.
(Verse)
Em C G D
Springs run dry, skies catch fire, where once was all green,
Em C G D
Let’s not deny, our part in this, it’s not an unseen.
Em C G D
We stand united, beneath the stars, singing our plea,
Em C G D
For a change, for a chance, for a world debris free.
(Chorus)
Em C G D
Less is More, let’s restore, the world we adore,
Em C G D
It’s not too late, to change our fate, open the door.
Em C G D
Less is More, let’s implore, bring back the shore,
Em C G D
With every note, we’ve ever wrote, we’ll fight this war.
Fan’s Testimonial:
The band’s favorite fan is 15-year-old Chelsea, a passionate environmental activist from Chicago. “Stingy Conservation is so much more than a band to me; they gave me a voice when I felt voiceless. Their songs remind us of the power we hold to make a difference, and that’s why they are my favorite. Their music isn’t just catchy—it’s meaningful. And that’s why I’ll always be a die-hard Stingy Conservation fan.”
