Backstory:
Subdued Poison began as a garage band in the bustling city of Seattle, Washington. The band was formed in 2012 by high school friends, Iain “Frosty” Thompson (lead vocals, guitar), Aubrey “Buzz” Mason (drums), and Luna “Pixie” Cortez (bass, backing vocals). All three shared a love for music that resonated with the human soul, reflecting the complexities of life and love entangled in darkness and light. Frosty was the creative force behind the music; he envisaged the seamless blend of melodic melancholy with energetic beats that Subdued Poison soon became known for.
Despite their humble beginnings, Subdued Poison quickly made a name for themselves in the local music scene, winning several amateur band contests. Their unique, soulful sound and emotionally charged lyrics began to capture the attention of a wider audience. Their popularity skyrocketed after their song, ‘Waves in the Storm,’ was featured on a popular TV show. The band has since released three full-length albums and is currently on a nationwide tour.

In the silence of the night, I hear your voice,

An echo’s whisper, in the dark,

Revealing secrets, leaving a mark.

In your absence, your voice rings clear,

Drawing me closer, pulling me near.
[Verse 2]
G Em
I walk the path, where we used to tread,

Each step echoing, words unsaid.

Your laughter lingers, in the breeze,

A silent whisper, in the trees.

An echo’s whisper, sweet and slow,
C G D
In every corner, shadows grow.

In the hush, I feel you near,

An echo’s whisper, only I can hear.

Our biggest fan has to be Wendy “Wanderlust” Drake. Wendy has been with us since our first gig at a local pub in Seattle. She has attended almost every single one of our concerts, even traveling with us throughout our nationwide tour. Wendy says that our music speaks to her on a level that nothing else does.

They blend nostalgia, melancholy, and hope in such a unique way that I can’t help but be drawn to their sound. Their live performances are electrifying, and their energy is infectious. It’s been an incredible journey with them so far, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Subdued Poison.”
