Backstory:
“Sweltering Lumber” was formed in the small logging town of Mallow, Oregon in the late summer of 2008. The band members, comprised of forest workers by day and amateur musicians by night, were drawn together by their shared passion for music and their deep connection to the rugged, forested landscape of their hometown. After a long day of working in the woods, the men would gather around a fire, sharing stories and composing songs reflecting their life and experiences. Their sound resonated within their community, and what started as a simple evening pastime quickly spread throughout Oregon, and eventually, nationwide.

The band’s lineup has remained unchanged since their formation, with lead vocalist and guitarist, Jack Barkley, bassist, Sam Pine, drummer, Toby Firwood, and the keyboardist, Eddie Maple. Their camaraderie on and off the stage has been an essential component of their success, crafting a unique bond that shines through in their music.
