Backstory:
Thankful Earthquake was formed in the heart of Northern California in 2010, after a chance encounter at a music festival between two musical prodigies – Jett Matthews, a gifted guitarist, and Ruby Simms, a fierce vocalist. The duo immediately connected over shared music interests and started a journey to create their unique sound. They were later joined by drummer, Leo Hendrix, and bassist, Toni Blair, each lending their talents to the band’s unique sonic craft. The name of the band, Thankful Earthquake, ironically came from a minor tremor they experienced during one of their early jam sessions, which they perceived as the Earth’s way of expressing gratitude for their music.
