Thorny Glove

Backstory:

Thorny Glove was formed in the small town of Azalea, Oregon, by childhood friends Mark “Thorn” Thornton and Gary “Glove” Gloverson. The duo shared a mutual love for music from a young age, often sneaking into a local saloon with Thorn’s older brother’s ID to soak in the live music. They initially began as a cover band, performing their renditions of classic rock anthems in various local gigs before they decided to take a leap of faith and start creating their own material. Thorn and Glove moved to Portland, looking to make a name in a bigger pond. They were soon joined by drummer Lisa “Stix” Morley and bassist Billy “The Kid” O’Donnell, rounding out their unique sound and leading to the creation of their breakout debut album, “Thorny Glove Strikes Back”.

Song Title:

“Dancing with the Devil in the Pale Moonlight”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse)
Em G
Oh, I’ve walked the path of folly,
D C
In the wake of my despair.
Em G
Chasing shadows, empty bottles,
D C
Drowned in the depths of my despair.

(Chorus)
Am G D
I’m dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight,
Em C
Trading my soul for a moment’s delight,
Am G D
I’m dancing with the devil, oh it feels so right,
Em C
In the pale moonlight, oh, the pale moonlight.

(Verse)
Em G
Grace, she left on a Tuesday,
D C
With the cold wind at her back.
Em G
Now the nights grow longer,
D C
Lost in the rhythm of the bluesy track.

(Chorus)
Am G D
I’m dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight,
Em C
Betting my heart on a losing fight,
Am G D
I’m dancing with the devil, beneath the starlight,
Em C
In the pale moonlight, oh, the pale moonlight.
