Trivial Press

Backstory:
Trivial Press is a band that was formed in the heart of Brooklyn, New York in 2013. The band members, Michael, Charlie, and Drew, met while attending the same film school, where they bonded over their shared love for music and filmmaking. They started off playing at small local gigs, brewing a unique sound that caught the attention of a music producer. Their breakthrough came in 2016 when their first album, “Cinema of Life,” made it to the top 10 of the Billboard Indie chart.

The band’s name, Trivial Press, is a bit of an inside joke, referencing their initial struggle to get media coverage. They were often overlooked by the press, seen as “trivial” in the grand scheme of the industry. But the band saw this as a challenge, using it to fuel their ambition and craft their groundbreaking music.

Title:
“Paper Plane Dreams”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] I write my dreams on a paper plane,
[D] Throw it to the sky,
[Em] Hoping it won’t come back again,
[C] In the same old life.

[G] Ink of my heart, soaked in rain,
[D] Blurred but still fine,
[Em] I smile at my paper plane,
[C] It’s my only lifeline.

(Chorus)
[G] Paper plane dreams, flying high,
[D] Above the clouds, touching the sky,
[Em] Maybe someday they will fall,
[C] Till then, let’s give it our all.

(Verse 2)
[G] The world may call it a foolish game,
[D] But it’s my escape,
[Em] From the trivial press, the fame,
[C] And life’s relentless scrape.

(Chorus)
[G] Paper plane dreams, flying high,
[D] Above the clouds, touching the sky,
[Em] Maybe someday they will fall,
[C] Till then, let’s give it our all.

(Outro)
[G] So here’s to the dreams, and paper planes,
[D] To love, to loss, and the sweetest pains,
[Em] We’ll keep flying, come what may,
[C] Trivial Press, we’re here to stay.

Testimonial:
“I’ve been following Trivial Press since their early days playing small gigs in Brooklyn. Their music is not just sounds and words, it’s an experience. It’s about real feelings, real struggles, and real dreams. I feel like they are speaking directly to me in every song, especially ‘Paper Plane Dreams.’ It’s about the courage to dream and the resilience to keep going, no matter what. I think that’s something we all can relate to. Trivial Press is not just a band to me, they’re my companions on the journey of life.”
