Backstory:
Unconscious Knot formed when four high school friends from Seattle discovered a shared passion for music, poetry, and rebellion. Each member brought a different musical background to the table – punk rock, folk, grunge, and blues. Their chemistry was undeniable, with Steve on the guitar, Mike on the drums, Jared on the bass, and Ethan, the group’s lyricist and frontman, on vocals.
After graduation, the band made a pact to give their music one serious shot before settling into more traditional careers. They rented a dilapidated old warehouse to use as their studio and began relentlessly honing their sound. After two years of hard work, constant gigging, and a little luck, Unconscious Knot’s innovative blend of grunge and folk started to catch on. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Band’s favorite fan:
The band’s favourite fan is Alice, a young woman from their hometown who was one of their earliest supporters. Alice has attended every gig and has all their albums, merch, and a tattoo of the band’s logo on her shoulder. Alice says, “Unconscious Knot’s music is like a lifeline to me. It’s raw, emotional, and real. It speaks to me on levels that no other music does. It’s like they’ve put my thoughts and feelings into words and sounds. I’ll always be their number one fan.”
