Backstory:

Unhappy Vein emerged from the heart of Portland, Oregon’s thriving music scene. The band was formed in the summer of 2011, by lead vocalist and guitarist, Jim Lowell, drummer, Sara Evans, and bassist, Tim Donovan. The trio originally met at a local music festival, bonding over shared musical influences and a mutual dissatisfaction with the state of current music. They decided to fill the void themselves and thus, Unhappy Vein was born. Known for their raw and evocative performances, this band quickly made a name for themselves, opening for major acts and gaining a loyal following.
