Precious Storm

Backstory:

Precious Storm hails from the eclectic art scene of Portland, Oregon, where they first came together in 2012 as a group of friends with a shared passion for music and storytelling. The band is composed of lead vocalist and guitarist, Noah Blake, drummer Jeremy Duncan, bassist Allison Clarke, and keyboardist Dexter Miles. They had all met at various open mic nights around the city and decided to join forces to create their own unique sound. Since then, they’ve been creating waves in the underground music community with their distinctive blend of music and poetic lyrics.

Genre:

Precious Storm’s music is best described as indie folk-rock, with a touch of blues and soul influences. They’re known for their complex harmonies, thought-provoking lyrics, and Noah’s raw, emotionally charged vocals, backed by the powerful rhythm section of Jeremy and Allison, with Dexter’s keyboard adding a unique layer of melody.

Title: “Whispering Rain”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[Am] Whispering rain, [G] fall on my face
[Em] Wash away my doubts, [F] lead me home, no trace
[Am] Shadows grow long, [G] under the moon’s embrace
[Em] But your light keeps me warm, [F] in this cold empty space

(Chorus)
[C] Hey, hey, whispering rain, [G] sing me your song
[Am] I’m lost in your melody, [Em] all night long
[C] Wash me clean, [G] erase the pain
[Am] I’ll dance in your rhythm, [F] my precious storm

(Verse 2)
[Am] Beneath the steel-grey skies, [G] I see your face
[Em] In the whispering rain, [F] I feel my heart race
[Am] Drenched in your love, [G] no hiding place
[Em] My reflection in puddles, [F] traces of grace

(Chorus)
[C] Hey, hey, whispering rain, [G] sing me your song
[Am] I’m lost in your melody, [Em] all night long
[C] Wash me clean, [G] erase the pain
[Am] I’ll dance in your rhythm, [F] my precious storm

“I discovered Precious Storm at a small gig in a local coffee shop and was immediately captivated by their music. The way Noah’s voice blends with the rhythm and heart of their songs is simply astounding. It’s like they’re telling a story with every song, and each one speaks to me on a deep, personal level. Their music has become a sort of sanctuary for me, a place where I can find peace amidst the chaos of life. There’s an authenticity to their sound that’s rare in today’s music scene. Precious Storm isn’t just my favorite band; their music is a part of my life.”
