Vague Priority

Backstory:

Vague Priority was born out of a college dorm room in the heart of Michigan. Four friends – Peter, Tommy, Richard, and Sarah – found solace from their coursework in their shared love for music. However, they were not content with just jamming and covering songs; they wanted to make their own. Thus, the band was formed in the winter of 2011, crafting their unique sound from late-night jam sessions and open mic performances at local venues.

Gradually, they developed a dedicated following and gained confidence in their musical direction. In 2015, they signed to a local record label and released their debut album, which was received with critical acclaim. They’ve continued to evolve, making music that speaks to the soul and resonates with the realities of life, making Vague Priority a staple in the indie alternative scene.

Title: Shallow Echoes

Song Lyrics:

[Verse]
Am F
Wandering through this empty scene,
C G
Chasing shadows, lost in dreams.
Am F
Pieces of what we used to be,
C G
Now just shallow echoes in the sea.

[Chorus]
Am F
Oh, we’re just playing a losing game,
C G
Riding high on the waves of fame.
Am F
Left with nothing but a name,
C G
Just shallow echoes, all the same.

[Verse]
Am F
The lights are fading, the curtain’s closing,
C G
On this stage where we’ve been posing.
Am F
Bitter taste of the ending,
C G
It’s just a story we’ve been pretending.

[Chorus]
Am F
Oh, we’re just playing a losing game,
C G
Riding high on the waves of fame.
Am F
Left with nothing but a name,
C G
Just shallow echoes, all the same.
