Backstory:
Started in the heart of Austin, Texas, Wide Thread was formed by a group of high school friends who had a passion for music and a dream of making it big. The band features lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Johnny “Jet” Rafferty, lead guitarist Jimmy “Strings” Vincent, bassist Greg “Bass Beast” O’Donnell, and drummer Dan “Dynamo” Baxter. Though it began with casual jamming in their parents’ garages, the band’s talent and camaraderie soon took them to local gigs and music festivals. Their charisma, energy, and unique sound quickly caught the attention of local radio stations and they were soon signed by a regional record label.
Their journey hasn’t always been smooth, however. They’ve faced their share of challenges, from internal conflicts to financial struggles. But every setback only served to strengthen their resolve and their bond. The adversity they faced became the inspiration for many of their songs, giving their music an authentic and emotionally charged edge that resonates with their listeners.
