Riding on a whiskey dream, just tryin’ to make some noise (C)

Regular Brass

Backstory:

Regular Brass was born out of a chance meeting at a New Orleans dive bar in the fall of 2007. The three original members, Henry “Hank” Finley, a trombone player, Marshall “Mars” Thompson, a trumpet virtuoso, and drummer extraordinaire, Lewis “Lew” Danielson were all struggling musicians trying to make a name for themselves in the bustling New Orleans music scene. They hit it off immediately and decided to create a band that fused traditional brass band elements with their love for funk and jazz, and thus Regular Brass was born. Over the years, the band has grown to include five more members, each adding their unique flavor to the mix, and they have carved a niche for themselves in the music industry for their high energy performances and skillful improvisations.

But it’s their song ‘Bayou Groove’ that really does it for me. It embodies the spirit and energy of New Orleans, and every time I hear it, I can’t help but dance. Regular Brass isn’t just a band to me, they’re like family.”
