Insecure Change

Backstory:

Insecure Change is a band born out of the hustle and bustle of New York City’s chaotic music scene. The four members – lead vocalist James, guitarist Daniel, bassist Micheal, and drummer Thomas – all met while attending the renowned Julliard School. The quartet initially bonded over shared struggles to find their distinctive sounds, often feeling overshadowed amidst the wealth of talent. The frustration and a shared desire for self-expression led them to form a band. They named it ‘Insecure Change’, symbolizing their daily struggles with change and the insecurities that come with it.

The band’s unique music, combined with their raw lyrics, quickly grabbed attention within the city’s indie music scene. They started performing at local music festivals, slowly building a loyal fanbase, and their music began resonating with people from all walks of life, their message of embracing insecurities reaching a wider audience than they could ever have imagined.

“Imperfectly Perfect”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Gm Dm
In the mirror of the world, I see,
Gm Dm
Reflections of a man that’s not me,
Gm Dm
I’m a puzzle with a missing piece,
Gm Dm
Drowning in an ocean, can’t breathe.

(Chorus)
C Gm
But I am imperfectly perfect,
C Gm
Insecure, a little bit reckless,
C Gm
But I am, I am, I am,
C Gm
Imperfectly Perfect.

(Verse 2)
Gm Dm
In the shadows of success, I tread,
Gm Dm
Insecure change, a path ahead,
Gm Dm
With each step, I embrace the fear,
Gm Dm
In the melody of life, I am here.

(Chorus)
C Gm
I am imperfectly perfect,
C Gm
Caught in change, slightly wrecked,
C Gm
But I am, I am, I am,
C Gm
Imperfectly Perfect.
