Backstory:
Unripe Recovery started in the heart of Seattle, Washington in 2015. Childhood friends, lead vocalist Elliott Rhodes, guitarist Nathan “Nate” Davis, bassist Riley McCrea, and drummer Andrew Dolton, had always shared a passion for music. The band traces its roots back to their high school years when they spent afternoons jamming in basements, garages, and the occasional school talent show. They found their unique sound amidst the clashing of their individual musical tastes. Elliott’s love for grunge, Nathan’s penchant for blues, Riley’s fascination with punk, and Andrew’s obsession with alternative rock, all fused together to form Unripe Recovery.

The band’s name represents their shared belief that there’s beauty in the broken, in the unripe, and that recovery is a constant, ongoing process. They’ve managed to channel this belief into their music, which resonates with fans struggling with their personal battles. Despite their varying influences, the band has a unified goal of creating music that speaks to the soul, that inspires, and that heals.

Their favorite fan is a woman named Amber Jenkins. Amber works as an ER nurse and has been following Unripe Recovery from their first basement jam sessions. In her testimonial, she says, “Unripe Recovery is more than just a band to me. Their music has been my solace during the toughest days. There’s something raw and honest about their lyrics – it’s like they’re speaking my thoughts, my feelings. I see myself in their songs and it gives me strength. Their music is my recovery, my escape.
