Backstory:
Pertinent Princess is an all-female group that was formed in 2010 among the misty hills of Asheville, North Carolina. The band’s four members, Alexa (lead vocals), Brooke (drums), Charlotte (lead guitar), and Dana (bass), were college pals who decided to stay together after graduation, merging their shared love for music and women’s empowerment into a band. The name ‘Pertinent Princess’ was chosen to reflect the group’s commitment to creating relevant, thought-provoking music while reclaiming the word ‘Princess’ from its traditional stereotype.

In their ten years together, Pertinent Princess has developed a dedicated fanbase and a reputation for their electrifying performances, distinctive sound, and deeply emotional lyrics. They’ve also used their platform to champion for better representation of women in the music industry and to inspire young girls to follow their dreams, regardless of societal expectations.
