Backstory:
Unhealthy Sound was born in the eclectic, underground music scene of Austin, Texas in 2012. The band was formed by long-time friends and music enthusiasts, Jason “Jace” Carpenter and Kyle “Ky” Hutchinson, who met in high school and bonded over their shared love for atypical and off-beat sounds. After years of experimenting with various music styles and instruments, they discovered a unique sound that was raw, gritty, and unconventional. They named their band ‘Unhealthy Sound’, as a tongue-in-cheek nod to their unusual sonic creation. Their journey has been one of relentless passion and creativity, and the band has managed to carve a niche for themselves in the indie music landscape.

Testimonial:
“I’ve always had an affinity for music that’s a little different, a little off-the-wall, and that’s exactly what Unhealthy Sound offers. Their music is unconventional, yes, but there’s a raw, pulsating energy to it that I find captivating. They’re not afraid to experiment and push boundaries, and I think that’s what makes them unique. ‘Decay Parade’ is a particular favorite of mine – the lyrics are profound and the music is incredibly intense. It’s an auditory experience like no other. There’s just something about Unhealthy Sound that resonates with me on a deeply personal level, and that’s why they’re my favorite band.”
