Backstory:
Old Boat is a band of four lifelong friends hailing from a small coastal town named Capel in Western Australia. What began as a passion for performing at high school talent shows soon became a pursuit of music. Their name, Old Boat, pays tribute to their humble beginnings, where they would rehearse on an old boat that belonged to the lead singer’s grandfather. Their bond, fueled by shared experiences and dreams, transcends into their music, offering a distinct blend of sincerity, nostalgia, and raw emotion.
After a few years of playing in local pubs and colleges, their talent was recognized by a touring band who gave them an opportunity to open for them. This exposure led to Old Boat signing with an indie record label. Since then, the band has released a couple of EPs and a full-length studio album that have garnered critical acclaim and a solid fan base.
