Backstory:
Outrageous Hunting was formed during the summer of 2009, in the heart of Portland, Oregon. The band primarily consists of five childhood friends; Mason (vocals), Ryder (bassist), Holly (drums), and the Wilson brothers, Eric and Harvey, who take on the lead and rhythm guitars. They found their unity in their shared passion for music and the outdoors. The band’s unique name was inspired by their mutual love for hunting trips and their desire to create music that stands out, deemed ‘outrageous’ by mainstream standards.
During their initial years, Outrageous Hunting performed in small venues, slowly building a following for their distinctive sound. Their journey was far from smooth, with grueling tours, financial struggles, and even a near break-up. Still, the band persevered, fueled by their shared dream of making music that stands out. Today, they are recognized for their unique fusion sound, combining elements from different genres to create something truly ‘outrageous’.

Verse:
Em C G D
Riding wild, under the neon light,

Hear the call, of the forest in the night.

Em C G D
We’re hunting tunes, under a starlit bazaar.
Chorus:
Am C G D
Venison and Vinyl, it’s our battle cry,

In the moonlit jungle, where the melodies lie.

Fan Testimonial:
Our favorite fan is a guy named Russell. He has attended every single one of our concerts, no matter where we’ve gone. His dedication to us as a band goes beyond just being a fan; he’s more like family now. Russell has said, “Outrageous Hunting is my favorite band because their music resonates with me. It’s raw, real, and it always hits right where it needs to. I appreciate their humility and dedication, and that they’ve stuck together through thick and thin just to make the music they love. They are an inspiration, both musically and personally.”
