Foolhardy Gear

Backstory:
Foolhardy Gear was formed in the gritty alleyways of Detroit, Michigan, in the early 2000s. The four members: lead singer and guitarist, Charlie “Chaos” Kimball; drummer, Pete “Pulse” Gallagher; bass guitarist, Billy “Bass” Hensley, and keyboardist, Corey “Keys” Taylor, all hailed from different parts of the city but shared a similar passion for music. They started off playing in garage gigs, eventually moving up to local bars, and finally hitting the big stage representing the new wave of Motor City’s rock n’ roll revival.

The band’s name, Foolhardy Gear, was selected by the members in a bar over a few rounds of beers, symbolizing their reckless and daring spirit to follow their passions. Within the heart of the Motor City, they were the gears that would continue to grind and produce music, no matter how foolhardy their dreams appeared to others.

Favorite Fan’s Name: Lisa ‘Rockstar’ Mitchell

Lisa Mitchell, a die-hard rock ‘n’ roll fan from the heart of Detroit, is a self-proclaimed ‘number one fan’ of Foolhardy Gear. Lisa discovered the band during their early days, during a garage gig in her neighborhood. She quickly fell in love with their raw, hard-hitting sound, and their passion resonated with her own rough-around-the-edges spirit.

In Lisa’s own words: “Foolhardy Gear isn’t just a band, they’re the embodiment of Detroit’s soul. Their music, it’s like the engine’s roar, the city’s heartbeat. It’s gritty, it’s raw, and it’s real. They’re not just a band to me, they’re the voice of our city. Every strum, every lyric, it’s like they’re telling our story. And that’s why they’re my favorite. They’re not just playing music, they’re playing life.”
