Backstory:
Formed in the small town of Hastings, England, the band Angelic Shoulder was birthed from the unlikely friendship of four school mates who shared a passion for music and creativity. The band’s frontman and songwriter, Joseph “Joey” Turner, was a shy, introverted poet who found solace in his poetic verses. The other members, Garry Thompson, a guitar virtuoso, Tim Westfield, a self-taught drummer, and Ben Rogers, a gifted bass player, discovered Joey’s talent and convinced him to turn his poetry into songs. The band was created in Joey’s parents’ basement, and they continued to create music with a unique blend of soulful lyrics and unforgettable melodies.
