Clumsy Letter

Backstory:

Clumsy Letter was born out of the fusion and collision of five childhood friends who had grown up together in the rural farmlands of Nebraska. The band includes lead vocalist and guitar player Ethan Micah, bassist Johnny Strom, keyboardist Louis Parker, drummer Alex Orion, and lead guitarist Stanley Davis. The boys of Clumsy Letter had a shared fondness for their small-town roots and their music reflects their struggles and triumphs, their love stories, and their dreams, giving listeners a sense of pure authenticity. They have stayed true to their origin and have not let fame change their humble nature. The band’s name, Clumsy Letter, reflects their journey from a small town to a big city, where every step felt like writing a clumsy letter to the world.

They used their music to voice out the struggles of the everyday man, which resonated with their audience. As they grew more popular, they began traveling across the country, taking their music wherever they could. Their journey wasn’t always smooth, but every bump along the way only added to their collective experiences and further inspired their music.

Tall Paper

Backstory:

Tall Paper was born out of a college dorm room in Berkeley, California in 2011. Founding members, Liam Moore (vocals, guitar) and Noah James (drums), were roommates with a shared passion for retro rock and roll. One day while studying for their mid-terms, they stumbled upon an abandoned piano in the campus “free to take” area. They wheeled it into their dorm room and it became the missing puzzle piece for their dream band. They were later joined by Melissa Hughes on bass and Sam Thompson on keys, two fellow students they met at a local open mic night. The name ‘Tall Paper’ was a nod to their student days, referencing the tall stacks of paper they had to study from, and their aspiration to stand tall in the music industry.

The band started out playing gigs in local bars and college events, their energetic performances and unique sound quickly gaining them a loyal following. In 2013, Tall Paper was spotted by a talent scout at an underground music festival. The rest, as they say, is history. Today, the band tours internationally and has released three successful albums, their music a unique blend of rock, pop, and indie.
