Backstory:

Popular Female is an all-female group formed in Oakland, California back in 2015. Although college friends, the band members knew each other from various music projects and had always dreamt of forming their own band. Lead vocalist, Joanne “Jo” Barker and lead guitarist, Rachel “Rach” Hoffman, were the founding members who later roped in their former classmate, Katie “Kait” Nichols for the drums and long-time friend, Lisa “Lee” Johnson on the bass. Muted Profile is a four-piece band that was formed in the small coastal town of Gull’s Landing, Maine in 2015.
