Backstory:
Judicious Employment was formed in the summer of 2010 in Los Angeles, California by a group of four close friends – Luke, Jake, Mason, and Kyle. They were all working restaurant jobs and struggling to make ends meet. Music was their escape, their way to express their frustration and hopes. They all had a deep love for music and started jamming together after their shifts. Their shared experiences, both at work and in their personal lives, helped them to create a unique sound and bond. They decided to name their band ‘Judicious Employment’, a tongue-in-cheek nod to their jobs that were far from judicious or fulfilling.
Jake, who was the main lyricist for the band, decided to pen down their mutual experiences, creating songs that resonated with the working class. Their struggle, their dreams, and their unyielding spirit all found a voice in their music. Mason and Kyle were the perfect duo to create their music, with Luke’s soulful vocals adding the final touch to their striking sound. They slowly gained popularity around their local area, their music resonating with those who heard it.

Favorite Fan’s Testimonial:
My name is Abby and I’ve been a fan of Judicious Employment ever since I first heard them at a small club in LA. Their music speaks to me on a level that no other band does. It’s like they’ve somehow managed to capture the essence of our generation’s struggle, dreams, and determination in their songs. Their lyrics are so relatable and their tunes, so catchy. It’s impossible not to get drawn into their world. They are, without a doubt, my favorite band!
