Wavy Compensation

Backstory:

Wavy Compensation emerged from the hazy, eclectic music scene of Austin, Texas in the early 2010s. The founding members, Lance Stirling and Kit Rains, both hail from a background of jazz, funk, and blues. They met while studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and immediately bonded over a shared love of improvisation and experimental sounds. After graduation, they returned to their hometown of Austin, deciding to bring their creative energies into forming a band. Wavy Compensation was born out of a desire to weave intricate, thoughtful melodies with free-flowing, soulful rhythms.

Their first gig was at an underground bar known for hosting independent artists with a unique sound. The crowd loved their eclectic fusion of sounds and their raw, magnetic energy on stage. They recruited ten other members from various walks of life, all with unique instrumental talents, to form Glum Dozen.
