Lucky Paper was formed in 2013 in a small suburban garage in Austin, Texas, by five high school friends who shared a passion for music. The boys named their band after a paper plane competition they held one afternoon, where they couldn’t stop laughing at the absurdity of them all trying to fold the papers perfectly. The one that flew the farthest was named the ‘Lucky Paper’. Their shared joy and camaraderie that particular afternoon was something they wanted to carry forward into their music.
