Backstory:
Flowery Component was created in the city of Boston, Massachusetts, in the spring of 2009. The band initially consisted of childhood friends Leo Hudson on keyboards and vocals, James ‘Jimmy’ McDougall on guitar, and Mervyn Warren on drums. The trio shared a profound love for music, which brought them together to create their unique sound. They started out playing in small local joints, attracting a modest but loyal fan base with their poetic lyrics and melodious harmonies.
The turning point for Flowery Component came in 2015 when they were discovered by an independent record label at a music festival. They added a fourth member, Ella Kent, a talented bassist, and singer. With the new addition, their sound evolved, giving them the momentum they needed to break into the mainstream. Their debut album, ‘Blossom in Motion,’ was released in 2016 and was met with considerable acclaim.

Title:
“Petals in the Wind”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1 – C G Am Em)
C G
Petal in the wind, where do you begin?
Am Em
Carried by the breeze, living with such ease.
C G
You never asked for flight, but you dance through the night,
Am Em
Flowery Component, we are your constituent.
(Chorus – F C G)
F C
Through sunshine and rain, through joy and pain,
G C
We are petals in the wind, bound by a delicate chain.
(Verse 2 – C G Am Em)
C G
We bloom, we fade, but we’re not afraid,
Am Em
In life’s grand parade, the memories never fade.
C G
Just like a flower, we have our hour,
Am Em
But in each moment spent, we are the Flowery Component.
(Chorus – F C G)
F C
Through the ebb and the flow, through high and low,
G C
We are petals in the wind, with a vibrant glow.
