Backstory:
Formed in the heart of Seattle’s grunge scene, Grimy Bridge emerged in the late 1990s as a band that wasn’t afraid to experiment with sounds and emotions. While the band members, Jamie “Jazz” Masterson (lead vocals), Ben “Sketch” Thompson (lead guitar), Zack “Ziggy” Foster (bass) and Richard “Ricochet” Evans (drums) originally met at a local open mic night, their shared love for raw, edgy music quickly led them to create a band with a sound unlike any other. Despite their different backgrounds – Jazz was a classically trained singer, Sketch a self-taught guitarist, Ziggy a funk bassist, and Ricochet a jazz drummer – they found common ground in their desire to push the boundaries of grunge music.

Title: “Bridge to Nowhere”
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em
On the edge of the city’s line,
D
Underneath the neon sign,
G
In the alley where we used to play,
C
Found our dreams then we lost our way.
(Chorus)
Em D
Bridge to nowhere,
G C
Take us somewhere,
Em D
Bridge to nowhere,
G C
Take us somewhere, anywhere today.
(Verse 2)
Em
Guitar strings and whisky nights,
D
Torn jeans and city lights,
G
In the echo of the train’s cry,
C
We found love, and we learned to fly.
(Chorus)
Em D
Bridge to nowhere,
G C
Take us somewhere,
Em D
Bridge to nowhere,
G C
Take us somewhere, anywhere today.
Band’s Favorite Fan: The band’s favorite fan is a woman named Emily, who has been following them since their earliest gigs in dingy Seattle pubs. Emily has attended almost every show, no matter the location or time. Despite being an accomplished lawyer, she never missed a chance to support Grimy Bridge. Emily says, “Grimy Bridge is my favorite band because their music speaks to me. It’s raw, emotional, and honest. The way they blend different musical styles is fascinating. Each song tells a story, and I’m always excited to hear what they’ll come out with next. I’ve followed them from their very first gig to their latest tour, and they’ve always delivered an amazing performance.”
