“Whispers in the Wind”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Underneath the [D] canvas sky, [Em] lost in the [C] night
[G] Tracing the [D] echoes of your [Em] laughter, [C] in my mind
[G] Like whispers in the [D] wind, [Em] they dance and [C] twine
[G] Your memory and [D] me, forever [Em] intertwined [C]
(Chorus)
[G] You’re the whisper in the [D] wind, the echo in the [Em] void
[C] The melody that [G] lingers, the song I can’t [D] avoid
[G] In every single [D] rhythm, your voice I [Em] find
[C] Like a whisper in the [G] wind, you’re never [D] far behind
(Verse 2)
[G] Lost in the [D] rhythm of the [Em] setting sun [C]
[G] I walk alone where [D] our story had [Em] begun [C]
[G] Your voice floats like [D] whispers in the [Em] wind [C]
[G] In every note I [D] play, in every [Em] song I [C] sing
(Repeat Chorus)
[G] You’re the whisper in the [D] wind, the echo in the [Em] void
[C] The melody that [G] lingers, the song I can’t [D] avoid
[G] In every single [D] rhythm, your voice I [Em] find
[C] Like a whisper in the [G] wind, you’re never [D] far behind
Favorite Fan:
The band’s most ardent fan is a 26-year-old landscape photographer named Emily Thompson. Emily first discovered Oval Lion during a difficult period in her life and their music became her solace. She said, “Their songs speak to me on a personal level. It’s as if they understand my thoughts and emotions. The song ‘Whispers in the Wind’ particularly resonates with me because it’s about longing and nostalgia, something I experience while I’m on my solitary photo trips. The lyrics and melody are hauntingly beautiful, it feels like a warm hug on a cold, lonely night. Oval Lion isn’t just my favorite band, it’s my safe haven.” Emily has attended every concert and owns every album of Oval Lion. She even sports a tattoo of the band’s logo on her arm as an homage to her favorite music group.
