Backstory:
Quirky Impulse formed in the heart of Los Angeles back in 2012. Childhood friends, Todd “Ink” Hanson (lead vocals, guitar), Eliza “Lizard” Grand (bass, backing vocals), Brian “Buzz” Appleton (drums), and Jerry “Jazz” Klein (keyboard, backing vocals), found themselves constantly drawn together by their shared taste in music and a yearning to create something unique. They started in small gigs, lugging their equipment around in a beat-up van, embracing the struggling artist stereotype. Quirky Impulse found their break in 2015, when their performance at a local music festival garnered the attention of an influential industry executive, who saw potential in their quirky and unique sound.

Band’s Favorite Fan: The band’s favorite fan goes by the name of Sarah “Starship” Johnson. Sarah became a fan of Quirky Impulse since their first appearance at the local music festival. As a music blogger, she was captivated by their unique sound and started following their journey since then. Her blog posts about the band brought them additional attention, aiding their big break in 2015. Starship’s favorite band is Quirky Impulse because, in her own words: “Their music is a breath of fresh air, a unique sound that takes you on a journey to a place where dreams and reality converge.
