Wilted Event

Backstory:

Wilted Event is the brainchild of four childhood friends from the small town of Aiken, South Carolina. Landon Miller, Jake Thompson, Olivia Baker, and Ethan Davis grew up on the same block, and their shared love for music led them to form a group in their early teenage years. Initially, they only played at the local bar during open mic nights, but their genuine talent and organic bond struck a chord with the local community, and they gained a substantial following. They got their big break when a talent scout from a major record label happened to be in town for a wedding, heard their music, and immediately signed them.

Song Title:
“Painted Silence”

Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am G D
Walking through the painted silence,
Am G D
Staring at our faded dreams,
Am G D
With a touch of your sweet violence,
Am G D
We’re tearing at the seams.

(Chorus)
C G D
Can we revive this wilted event,
C G D
Bring it back to life again,
C G D
Or are we destined to lament,
C G D
The love we lost, my dear old friend.

(Verse 2)
Am G D
In the hollow echo of our laughter,
Am G D
I can hear the silent screams,
Am G D
We’re chasing youth and what comes after,
Am G D
Lost in the echoes of our dreams.

(Chorus)
C G D
Can we revive this wilted event,
C G D
Bring it back to life again,
C G D
Or are we just meant to vent,
C G D
The love we lost, my dear old friend.

The band’s favorite fan:

Wilted Event’s favorite fan is none other than Sarah Miles, a schoolteacher from their hometown. Sarah has been a fan since their very first open mic night, and she has been their loudest cheerleader ever since. Her reasoning for being such a die-hard fan is simple but heartfelt: “Wilted Event is more than just a band; they represent our town and our spirit. Their music resonates with each one of us. It’s our shared history, our collective memory, our joys, and our sorrows. Every time I listen to them, it’s like coming home.”
