Backstory:
Right Dollar is an innovative four-piece band, formed in the bustling streets of Brooklyn, New York in 2011. A chance meeting in a local record shop bonded the members together through their shared love for music that subtly pushes boundaries while still maintaining a catchy, digestible sound. Starting out playing in local bars, they quickly gained a reputation for their unique sound and energetic performances. The band members include lead vocalist and guitarist, Johnny “Silver” Simmons, bassist Ricky “Copper” Jones, keyboardist and back-up vocalist Jamie “Bronze” Bennett, and drummer Aaron “Gold” Peterson. The name ‘Right Dollar’ was inspired by their belief that music is the ‘right’ and most valuable currency.

Title:
“Rusted Coins”
Lyrics:
(Verse)
Am G F C
I’ve been walking down a road, it’s paved with rusted coins
Am G F C
Unspoken dreams and silent voice, lost in the noisy loins
Am G F C
I see faces in the crowd, all searching for some truth
Am G F C
But all we got are empty pockets, and the innocence of youth
(Chorus)
F C G
We’re all Right Dollar dreamers, in a world that’s become so cold
F C G
Trading hopes for rusted coins, while our stories remain untold
(Verse)
Am G F C
The city lights, they cast long shadows, on the hearts that have grown old
Am G F C
We’re just Right Dollar dreamers, trying to turn rusted coins into gold
(Chorus)
F C G
We’re all Right Dollar dreamers, with dreams that are worth more than gold
F C G
In this world of rusted coins, it’s the dreamers who are bold
