Backstory:
Burdensome No is a band formed in the heart of Brooklyn in 2015. The founding members, lead vocalist Jake Jones and guitarist Alex Mira, met in their high school music room and quickly became inseparable due to their shared love for music. As they grew older, they recruited like-minded individuals; on bass was Carlos Rivera, a childhood friend of Jake, and on drums was Sarah McConnel, a college friend of Alex. The name Burdensome No was the result of a late-night brainstorming session, inspired by the idea of the burdens they were saying “no” to through their music.
The band started their journey by playing small gigs in local bars, slowly building a loyal fan base. Their big break came after a performance at a local music festival, where their hard-hitting lyrics and raw energy caught the attention of a major record label. Since then, they’ve been sweeping the music scene with their fresh take on alternative rock, gaining international recognition.

Title: “Bridges We Burn”
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1) [Am, G, F, C]
Every night we dream in color, [Am]
On streets we don’t recognize, [G]
We carry the weight of our past, [F]
Under the indigo skies. [C]
(Chorus) [F, C, G]
But we won’t let it pull us down, [F]
The bridges we burn light our way, [C]
Our battles make us stronger, [G]
In the face of the burdensome ‘no’. [F, C, G]
(Verse 2)
Through the noise, we find silence, [Am]
In dark corners, we find light, [G]
The world’s a puzzle we’re solving, [F]
With each chord, with each fight. [C]
(Chorus)
But we won’t let it pull us down, [F]
The bridges we burn light our way, [C]
Our battles make us stronger, [G]
In the face of the burdensome ‘no’. [F, C, G]
