Backstory:
Live Cart emerged from the bustling streets of Austin, Texas, in 2017. A group of four friends—Caleb, Ben, Sophie, and Jake—joined forces to transform their shared love for music and storytelling into a unique sound. The band’s name, ‘Live Cart,’ was inspired by an old, abandoned cart they discovered during one of their late-night jam sessions. This cart, once a symbol of livelihood and vibrancy, became a metaphor for their music – a living, moving entity full of stories and experiences waiting to be shared.
Sophie, the band’s lead vocalist, was a poet who dreamt of reaching out to the world with her words. Ben, the guitarist, brought his love for rock and blues to the table while Caleb excelled at creating melodies on his keyboard that perfectly complemented Sophie’s lyrics. Jake, armed with his drumsticks, was the heartbeat of the band. Together, they decided to create music that was raw, striking, and real—just like life itself.
